Racial Justice Reads
Memoirs, graphic novels, speculative fiction, YA, historical fiction, magical realism, and biographies are becoming tools for shifting the public conversation and understanding about race and racial justice in this country. Racial Justice Reads aims to engage book lovers and justice-minded readers through author talks, panel discussions and other virtual and live offerings toward deeper involvement in the movement to end white supremacy.

Founded in 2018, Racial Justice Reads is a part of the Facing Race conference hosted by Race Forward. We have been honored to host the following authors and artists: adrienne maree brown, Jeff Chang, Jaquira Diaz, Tananarive Due, Lady Dane Figueroa Edidi , Michaela Harrison, Ben Hecht, Deepa Iyer, Robert Jones, Jr, Sofia Ali Khan, Kiese Laymon, Dahlma Llanos-Figueroa, Nnedi Okorafor, Malka Older, Nadia Owusu, Marlon Peterson, Junauda Petrus-Nasah, Gabby Rivera, Rebecca Roanhorse, Rinku Sen, Rivers Solomon, Kung Li Sun, Meredith Talusan, Edgar Villanueva, Neon Yang, and Damon Young.
